Privacy Policy

IncomeME (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a personal finance assistant that builds a personalized income map from a short interview and offers optional planning tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using IncomeME, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Email address (Personal info): collected when you create an account, used for authentication and account management.
  • Name (Personal info): your display name associated with your account.
  • Interview answers (User-generated content): free-text and selected details you provide during the income-map interview (for example, skills, assets, audience size, available time, and budget).
  • Saved maps and goals (User-generated content): the income maps, goals, progress amounts, target dates, and notes you create and choose to save.
  • Purchase records (Financial info): transaction references and payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data and returns a transaction reference.
  • Device and usage data (App activity): approximate device information, IP address, and usage data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. How We Use Information

  • App functionality: to generate and deliver your personalized income map and related planning tools.
  • Account management: to create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
  • Account deletion: to process your one-time unlock payment and confirm access.
  • Analytics: to maintain, secure, and improve the app’s performance and reliability.
  • Customer support: to respond to support requests and inquiries.

3. AI Processing

Your interview answers are sent to a third-party AI service to generate your income map. We only send what is needed to produce your results and do not sell your input. The AI provider processes this data under its own privacy and data protection obligations. Income estimates are directional and not guaranteed.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers, each under their own privacy obligations:

  • Stripe: processes payments and checkout. See Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • AI service providers: process interview answers to generate income maps.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: store and serve app data.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Data stored on our servers is protected by industry-standard access controls and encryption at rest.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You have the following options to request data deletion:

  • In-app deletion: Use the account deletion option in the app’s Settings to permanently delete your account and associated data, including saved maps and goals.
  • Email request: Contact us at support@incomeme.app to request deletion of your personal data.

We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

IncomeME is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, use the in-app account deletion option or contact us at the email below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
